Ellen Shirman, Psy.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist and board certified in clinical neuropsychology. She has been in private practice since 1994, evaluating and treating patients with acquired brain injuries, various neurological and mental health conditions. She has served as an Independent Medical Evaluator and has testified in several trials over the past 20 years. Dr. Shirman is also a Qualified Medical Examiner in the California Workers’ Compensation field, a Diplomate of the American Board of Professional Neuropsychology and a member of the National Academy of Neuropsychology.

Dr. Shirman earned her Bachelor of Science degree from UCLA, and then her doctorate in clinical psychology from Pepperdine University. She also received a master’s degree in clinical psychopharmacology.  She completed a fellowship program in clinical neuropsychology at The Institute of Brain Injury Research and Training at Mediplex Rehabilitation in Camden, N.J.
